If you can't do that, let us make multiplayer. I don't care if you have to file it under 15 paywalls, 2 DLC's and a 6000 hour grind, anything is still better than nothing. Give us some handicaps that are interesting. Give us some co-op scenarios that are interesting. Or maybe have the Neurax Worm and the Necora Virus brain fight eachother or something. Give us a special plague like the Neurax Worm, but have it so Trojan Planes increases your cure rate or whatever the f*ck. We actually NEED something in multiplayer to keep it from getting stale and boring. It was popular for a few months, then people woke up, realized it was bare-bones sh*t and left. ![]() People were all excited, jumped on Co-op/VS. This is one of the things that killed multiplayer. Nobody really cares about bug fixes, patches, we just want some actual content in our multiplayer vs/co-op experience. I really don't give a sh*t if you make Patch #472431 for the Bacteria because some l33t person got bored and decided to f*ck around and make the cure rate for the Whatever plague go 0.01% faster. You may really want a certain gene or plague, but you can't pick it, so you need to keep grinding away while waiting for 16 f**king hours inbetween each game because the game's matchmaking sucks. Or atleast, get some sick asf loot customization options. But part of the grind is being able (theoritically) to choose what you get. I mean, sure, you have a """drive""" or an """incentive""" to get to the next sh*t plague even though Bacteria is literally the only thing you need to win. There is literally no reason to play multiplayer. I've actually tried playing some VS a few days ago.Ģ) No actual incentive (or drive) to keep playing Presumably, you may have to wait up to an hour, or more just to get into a game. ![]() This is because the majority of people who played multiplayer (now the minority) are in this skill pool-y area, and everyone in THAT area quit. The problem is though, when you are just a semi-experience, kinda-knows-what they're-doing-but-not-really-player, matchmaking will freeze up on you, giving you insanely high waiting times. This is great if you're a new player, or a elite tryhard camping 360 noscoper, you have people to play with. But matchmaking puts you up against players with similiar skill. The more people playing it, the faster you get into a game. This kind of ties in with the "multiplayer being an empty wasteland" thing. But why is multiplayer so barren? I can answer that very clearly. No one plays multiplayer, let's establish that first.Īctually, we don't even need to.
